Located near the Maritsa River, Plovdiv is the second largest city in Bulgaria and is a cultural center of the country. The first meetinghouses of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Bulgaria were dedicated in the early 2000s. Today, the Church in Bulgaria has:

• 4 family history centers
