Come, Follow Me
How Can I Believe without Seeing?
One of Jesus Christ’s Apostles, Thomas, would not believe Christ was resurrected until he saw Him in the flesh (see John 20:25). When Thomas finally saw the resurrected Savior, the Savior told him, “Because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed” (John 20:29).
How can we follow Jesus Christ’s invitation to “be not faithless, but believing”? (John 20:27).
Ways to Strengthen Faith and Testimony
Study the scriptures. “Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17).
Live the gospel. “If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself” (John 7:17).
Seek revelation through the Holy Ghost. “The truth that matters most is verified only by revelation from God. Our human reason and the use of our physical senses will not be enough” (Henry B. Eyring, “The Holy Ghost as Your Companion,” Liahona, Nov. 2015, 104).
