How Can I Become More Converted to the Gospel?
In the book of Romans, the Apostle Paul teaches that conversion requires more than just believing. We must act in faith and repent of our sins to change our natures and be converted to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Three Ways to Strengthen Your Conversion
Share your faith with others. Just as teaching a concept can help you understand it better, sharing your testimony of the gospel with others can help build your own faith. What is one way you can show that you are “not ashamed of the gospel of Christ” (Romans 1:16)?
Ponder the meaning behind your actions. Paul teaches that our actions should reflect our level of inner conversion (see Romans 2:21–23, 28–29). How can you make outward expressions of faith—like taking the sacrament, serving others, or attending the temple—more meaningful?
Remember your baptismal covenant. When you were baptized, you covenanted to repent of your sins through the Atonement of Christ (see Romans 6:4–6). You may not feel a strong conversion to the gospel now, but every day is a chance to renew your covenant with God and become more like Him. How can you show the Lord that you want to be converted to His gospel?
