For Parents
We Talk of Christ
Dear Parents,
Nephi taught his people how essential it is to put the Lord at the forefront of our lives. He wrote, “We talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins” (2 Nephi 25:26). You could review the following articles with your family to point them and others you love to the gospel of Jesus Christ, to His guidance, and to wise principles that will help us seek Him in a hectic, modern world.
Gospel Discussions
Jesus Christ’s Gospel Is for Everyone
All people need the hope and redemption the gospel and Jesus Christ’s Atonement provide. Discuss with your family some teachings from President Jeffrey R. Holland’s article on how you can love, share, and invite someone to receive and embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ (see page 4).
Wise Principles for Media Use
Technology and media are helpful tools when used correctly. Review some guiding principles on page 22 and discuss your family’s standards for media use. Using the “questions to ponder,” consider what’s going well and what could be improved.
Following the Savior in Faith
In his article on page 40, Elder Benjamin M. Z. Tai shares four ways the Savior helps us. After reviewing these with your family, discuss how you have been helped as you’ve followed the Savior in faith.
