Help Young People Serve Missions
-
To help more young people choose to serve missions, successful stake presidents and bishops:
-
Make serving a mission a top priority.
-
Have a personal conviction about missionaries fulfilling their purpose.
-
Know and love each youth and young single adult.
-
Develop a missionary culture within their ward or stake.
-
Are accountable and help others be accountable for preparing young people to serve missions.
-
Members and Missionaries Work Together to Help Interested Friends Progress
-
Every week, during the “brief, informal” missionary coordination meeting, members and missionaries “coordinate efforts to share the gospel and strengthen new and returning members” (see General Handbook 23.5.7).
Love, Share, and Invite
-
The Savior invites His disciples to share the gospel with all the world. This can be accomplished by applying the simple principles of love, share, and invite
-
Councils and presidencies, including participants in the missionary coordination meeting, are invited to view and discuss the new video “Simple Ways to Love, Share, and Invite.” This video can be viewed at Share.ChurchofJesusChrist.org.
