Physical Activity

“Regularly give your body the exercise it needs and deserves. If you are physically able, decide today to be the master of your own house and begin a regular, long-term exercise program, suited to your abilities, combined with a healthier diet. Spiritual confidence increases when your spirit, with the help of the Savior, is truly in charge of your natural man or woman.”

—Jörg Klebingat, “Approaching the Throne of God with Confidence,” Ensign or Liahona, Nov. 2014, 35

Physical activity doesn’t have to be running, lifting weights, or other traditional forms of exercise. You can benefit from any activity that gets you moving and increases your heart rate. As you work to improve your physical health and fitness, you will be better able to serve others and accomplish the Lord’s work on your mission.

Try This

Commit to fully utilizing your time for physical activity each morning for a week, and see how you feel. Journal about your experience and any differences you might have noticed, such as with your mental health, energy levels, stress management, focus, and sleep.
