My Calling as a Stake Sunday School Secretary

Responsibilities

The Lord is grateful for your willingness to serve in His Church. Below is an overview of the responsibilities for your calling.

Purpose of Sunday School

The Sunday School helps accomplish God’s work of salvation and exaltation by helping God’s children learn and live the gospel of Jesus Christ (see General Handbook, 13.1).

Stake Sunday School Secretary

Under the direction of the stake Sunday School president, the secretary’s responsibilities include preparing agendas for meetings, taking notes and keeping track of assignments in presidency meetings, keeping other records, preparing reports as the presidency requests, and helping to prepare the annual budget (see 6.7.3).

Meetings and Councils

The stake Sunday School presidency and secretary counsel together regularly (see 29.3.4).
