What Should I Focus On?

The Young Women presidency consists of the president and her counselor(s). Please review “What Should I Focus On?” for the stake Young Women presidency. As the stake Young Women secretary, you have the unique role of supporting the stake Young Women presidency. You are part of the process of counseling together to discover the Lord’s will for the training of ward Young Women leaders in your stake. Your primary duty is to listen to and record what is being discussed and decided in presidency meetings.

You have the following responsibilities (see General Handbook, 6.7.3):

  • Prepare agendas for presidency meetings.

  • Take notes in presidency meetings and keep track of assignments.

  • Serve on the stake youth leadership committee with the high councilor and the stake Young Women presidency (see General Handbook, 29.3.10).

  • Keep other records and prepare reports as the presidency requests.

  • Help the presidency prepare the annual stake Young Women budget. Account for expenses.

  • Provide training for ward Young Women secretaries as assigned. This may include instruction on recording and reporting attendance.
