My Calling as a Young Women Class Presidency Member
Who Do I Work With?
Young Women
Build friendships with the young women in your class to help them feel Heavenly Father’s love through you. Pray and counsel together as a presidency to know how to minister to them and help them draw closer to Jesus Christ.
Young Women Adult Leaders
The Young Women presidency, advisers, and specialists are called to help you. They love you and will help you gain confidence in your ability to lead. You can counsel with them when you are unsure about what to do.
Bishopric
You will meet with the bishopric as you attend ward youth council and on other occasions, as invited. You can help the bishopric understand the needs of your class members and their families. They need your input and ideas.
Young Men Quorum Presidencies
You will meet regularly with the Aaronic Priesthood quorum presidencies in many settings, especially in ward youth council. Counsel together about ways all youth can participate in the work of salvation and exaltation and fulfill assignments from the bishop that were discussed in ward youth council and coordination meetings. Much of this work can be done as you plan and carry out combined service and activities.
Relief Society Sisters
Young women age 14 and older will participate with Relief Society sisters in ministering assignments (see General Handbook, 9.4). As a class presidency, you may want to consider other ways young women and Relief Society sisters can work and serve together.
Other Ward Adult Leaders
Those presidency members assigned will regularly meet with other leaders in the ward as they attend the sharing the gospel coordination meetings (see General Handbook, 23.5.7) and the temple and family history coordination meetings (see General Handbook, 9.2.4).
