Receive Your Endowment

If you are an adult, once you have been a member for one year, you can obtain a temple recommend that allows you to participate in additional temple ordinances. In the temple you will receive an ordinance called the endowment. In the endowment ceremony, you will learn more about the gospel of Jesus Christ and be invited to make sacred covenants with your Heavenly Father. Keeping these covenants will bring greater joy and divine power into your life. After you have been endowed, you can receive this ordinance by proxy for your ancestors.

  • “Prepare for the House of the Lord,” temples.ChurchofJesusChrist.org.

• As you approach the one-year anniversary of your baptism, begin attending temple preparation classes. Set up an interview with the bishop to receive a temple recommend.

• Set a date with the temple to receive your endowment.
