“How to Use This Manual,” My Plan for Returned Missionaries (2016)
“How to Use This Manual,” My Plan
How to Use This Manual
Instructions to Priesthood Leaders
This manual can be a resource to help returned missionaries you work with strengthen righteous habits and become self-reliant. Your returned missionary likely started My Plan on his or her mission and created a life vision and goals. This manual will help them revise and act on that plan. If they didn’t start My Plan during their mission, this manual will help them create a plan and progress using the worksheet at the back of this manual.
How should this manual be used?
First, we recommend that the stake or district president, or someone he assigns, review the introduction of this manual with each returned missionary.
Second, the remaining chapters can be studied in a variety of ways, depending on what works best for your area. Options include:
-
With a group of returned missionaries.
-
One on one with a Church leader, friend, or family member.
-
Individually.
Third, follow up with the returned missionary in a future interview to see his or her plan and progress.
