Zechariah 14

The Second Coming of Jesus Christ

When you think about the Second Coming of the Savior, are you thrilled, frightened, or a little of both? Zechariah 14 describes some of the events that will happen at the time of the Second Coming. As you read, look for verses that could help a person be less worried about the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, remembering that “if ye are prepared ye shall not fear” (D&C 38:30).

   3. What events related to Zechariah’s prophecy of the Second Coming help you anticipate when the Savior comes again? Read also Isaiah 11:4–9; Doctrine and Covenants 29:7–13; 133:17–35 for additional details on events prophesied in Zechariah.

   4. Read Doctrine and Covenants 106:4–5 and identify what you can do to be prepared for the Second Coming if it comes in your day so that it will be a glorious day for you rather than a dreadful one.
