Irrigation Tube

The bright-green

Well-fed snake

Twists

Across the lawn,

Its stomach bulging,

Lying fat

Over the sidewalk,

Baking

In the sun,

Body oils diffusing out

To darken

The cement.

Its skin ripples

As a bicycle

Trails over it,

Silver tongue

Thwishing,

Tasting the grass.
