Just One Little Light
January 1988

“Just One Little Light,” New Era, Jan. 1988, 10–11

In Tune:

Just One Little Light

(Duet)

1. Each daughter of God born to the earth has the light of Christ within.

A spirit that whispers of things to come,

That whispers of where we began.

Each daughter of God, through faith in the Lord, must find and nurture the light,

Then stand as a witness for Jesus Christ,

A beacon burning bright.

Just one little light in the darkness,

Shining through the night,

Can grow to a flame of glory

Setting the world alight!

If that one little light is the pure light of Christ.

Kindled by faith in His word,

The flame will share with a pow’r divine,

For He is the Light of the World!

2. Each daughter of God filled with the light, keeps the torch of truth alive.

Though storms may arise and the winds may blow,

The flame of the torch will not die.

For this is a light eternal and true,

That shines and cannot be dimmed.

The light of the gospel of Jesus Christ,

A priceless gift from Him.

Just one little light in the darkness,

Shining through the night,

Can grow to a flame of glory

Setting the world alight!

If that one little light is the pure light of Christ.

Kindled by faith in His word,

The flame will share with a pow’r divine.

For He is the Light of the World!

I will stand for truth and righteousness,

The flame of faith burning clear and bright.

I will hold it high, through eternity,

That all, beholding my light may see I seek for the truth,

I live for the promise, I follow in faith.

My faith is in God!
