Bringing help

Thank you so much for the article “Time Trial” (April, 1992). Recently I have been feeling down, so I said a small prayer to my Father in Heaven asking for some inspiration in my life. I was impressed with the scripture in the article, “With God nothing shall be impossible” (Luke 1:37). Thank you again for the joy and help you have brought to my life.

Eager reader

I really like reading the New Era. The articles in it make me feel closer to my Heavenly Father. I read it right when we receive it. I really enjoy the Q&A section because it helps me a lot with my daily life. Thanks a lot!

People are watching

I really enjoyed “Julie’s Watching” from the January 1992 edition of the New Era. It made me think and look at my own actions. There are times when people are watching us and we may not know it. We need to always be examples for others, especially those younger who tend to copycat us. Being an example is one of the best ways to be a missionary. Do things as if God were walking by your side.

A testimony strengthener

I want to thank you for the “How I Know” section of the New Era. I have been a member of the Church all my life, but after reading some of the articles in “How I Know” I’m really beginning to gain a stronger testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Thank you for strengthening my life.

Glad he was wrong

I would like to thank everyone who puts together the New Era. I used to think it was a magazine for little children, but since I started my mission I can gladly say I was wrong. I picked up a New Era recently and realized the stories related to me. I have read all the back issues I can find and look forward to each month’s issue. Thanks.

A friendly reminder

I very much enjoyed your story titled “Opposite Reaction” (October 1991) about being honest. It reminded me of when I took some baseballs from the ballpark that didn’t belong to me. My best friend found out and encouraged me to return them, which I did. From that day on I never did it again. Thank you for helping me remember the great example my friend set.

The missing lines

Some of you may have noticed something missing in your June 1992 New Era! Because of a printing error, some magazines were mailed with two lines deleted from “What Is Real Love and Happiness,” by Elder Neal A. Maxwell. To get the entire Message, add these lines to the bottom of the first column of type on page 7: “If you are truly interested in happiness, remember that …”
