It made her think

I would just like to say that I was very thankful for “Family Home Heimlich” in the April 1992 issue. It made me think that we all need to learn more about first aid because we never know when it might be needed. I also loved the song “I Will Come unto Christ,” which I am learning to sing.

Start the month right

The Feedback, New Era, Nov. 1992 is a great strength to me as a member of the Church. It is such a help at the start of each month. There is no other magazine for young people that I have read that leaves me feeling spiritual and happy to be a daughter of God.

A good influence

Being introduced to the New Era in my early teens helped me make important decisions at tough times while growing up. Through reading touching stories and learning sound advice, my life has been influenced for the better. Thanks for all the hard work that goes into the New Era. It has honestly helped me.

Glad she gave in

When I was old enough for Young Women, I was quite annoyed about not being able to get the Friend anymore. My mum and dad ordered the New Era for me, but for the first few months I wouldn’t read it. Finally I gave in and I have to say I’ve never read anything as spiritually uplifting in my life. Other magazines just don’t compare to it. I have all the Mormonads on my wall, and whenever I feel down I get out my well-kept New Eras and have a read.

Giving something back

I’ve been on the receiving end of the constant friendship of the New Era for far too long. Finally I’ve decided to give something back. Thank you for being sensitive to the promptings of the Spirit by knowing what to include in each issue. You’ve helped me many times and also been a help to my nonmember friends. One friend loved the New Era so much that I got her a subscription for her birthday. Keep up the good work, and you’ll gain even more friends across the globe.

Some suggestions

I really enjoy the New Era. My favorite parts of the magazine are the Mormonad, the Q&A section, poems, and the Photo of the Month. I do have one suggestion. It would be nice to read more about youth in different countries and see more stories about the environment. After all, we all have a responsibility to Heavenly Father to look after the environment.

Of a different colour

The New Era is a fine magazine and I love it. But since you seem to speak English, why can’t you spell English? Like colour instead of color, for example.
