“His Light,” New Era, Apr. 1995, 51
His Light
Clouds sketched pink in
a fading sky—
Pink like cotton candy will
be refined into golden pools
whose everglow embers are
whispered to rest
in a deeper, darker
vision.
A world watches
without regret
as a melting sun
returns into foreverness.
It will rise again.
The same yesterday and in
forever days to come—
an Earth can explain
as it rotates.
Another son has risen.
A world in darkness
cannot understand.
But they will
feel the warmth that beams
from a source of love
so bright.
And O what peace
their world will know
if they turn their hearts to
His light.
