A Child’s World
November 1995

“A Child’s World,” New Era, Nov. 1995, 51

A Child’s World

A world of dolls and tea parties

and holding sunbeams in your hand.

Sliding down a rainbow

and building castles in the sand.

A world adorned with lace and ruffles

and ribbons and golden hair,

And elves and purple mushrooms

and fairies everywhere.

Where a child can ride a butterfly

and kiss a frog into a prince,

Where the trees are made of gumdrops

with leaves of peppermint.

A world sealed in security—

absent of worry and despair.

A world where only children go,

For growing up you lose

the passage there.
