“Wet Shoes,” New Era, June 2000, 67
Special Issue: Your Mission
Wet Shoes
Doing my duty with wet
shoes this day, not minding
the sound I make stepping.
So many drops of rain
I lose count, umbrellas
and an undampened spirit
lead our way. A continued
season of water and clouds
gives us wet shoes
and more contacts, for
souls are not only saved
in sunshine, though the message
comes with bright light.
