Many questions regarding garments and sacred clothing can be answered in section 38.5 of the General Handbook: Serving in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. All additional questions about wearing sacred clothing should be directed to your local ecclesiastical leader or to a member of a temple presidency.
For questions about changes to garment fabrics or styles, please visit our Garment Changes pages.
Before purchasing garments, you must be endowed or have an activated temple recommend for living ordinances. A current temple recommend is not required. Your Church account will verify this information and permit you to purchase garments. If you’re purchasing in a store and don’t have your recommend with you, you can show the associate assisting you your endowment verification via the Tools app, or an associate can look you up using your name and birthdate or membership record number and verify you have been endowed.
If your temple recommend for living ordinances has not been activated, an endowed member with a Church account may enter their information for authorization, and we will still be able to bill and ship the order to you. If you have questions, please contact Customer Support.

Garments are designed to fit best after five washes. If you are unsure of your garment size and have ordered or purchased more than one size, test the fit with one size before opening others to reduce waste due to inability to re-sell opened garment packages. Garments that do not fit or are defective may be returned even if the package has been opened. When possible, garments should be returned within 90 days of purchase. See the complete Return Policy or contact Customer Support.
