Meetinghouse Access

Access to meetinghouses is administered through mechanical keys, electronic fob or card readers, or the use of a mobile phone application.

The Church facilities management group provides meetinghouse keys to stake leaders as stated in the Meetinghouse Facilities Guide (Maintaining Meetinghouses, Meetinghouse Keys).

The stake building representative is responsible for distributing keys to unit leaders and for keeping the buildings secure as stated in the General Handbook. Members also share the responsibility to help keep buildings secure (General Handbook, 35.3).

Electronic Building Access using a Smartphone

Why Electronic Building Access?
In the United States and Canada, facilities are being equipped with a technology that allows individuals to open exterior meetinghouse doors using a smartphone application.
Building access utilizing smartphones will enhance the security of our meetinghouses as well as provide a simpler way to manage access.

Kindoo

In the United States and Canada, the Church is utilizing the Kindoo application as the electronic building access solution for meetinghouses.

For more details about what Kindoo is and how to use it, please see the Kindoo Overview page.
