Have you ever heard of an emergency contact list? This list of phone numbers can be helpful because certain problems require certain people (like calling your doctor if it’s a medical issue).
For times of spiritual trouble, the scriptures can be a source of help and comfort. We’ve started putting together an “emergency scripture list” that we hope you’ll add to and make your own!
- When you feel spiritually weak: 2 Nephi 4:27–30
- When your trials feel overwhelming: Mosiah 24:14–15
- When you wonder if you make a difference: Alma 37:6–7
- When you need strength: Ether 12:27
- When you need courage: Joshua 1:9
- When you have a broken heart: Psalm 147:3–5
- When you want to feel closer to the Savior: Isaiah 53:2–6
- When you feel hopeless: Philippians 4:13
Elder Richard G. Scott taught: “The scriptures can form a foundation of support. They can provide an incredibly large resource of willing friends who can help us.”1
