Four Scriptures to Read When You Feel Alone

08/10/20 | 1 min read
Feeling lonely? You can turn to the scriptures for help.

Our Heavenly Father knew that we would sometimes feel isolated or lonely. To help, He gave us scriptures to remind us that we’re never alone when we turn to Him. Check out these four:

  • Isaiah 41:10: “Fear thou not; for I am with thee.”
  • Doctrine and Covenants 84:88: “I will be on your right hand and on your left, and my Spirit shall be in your hearts, and mine angels round about you, to bear you up.” Yes, you read that right—you have angels surrounding you!
  • 1 Nephi 21:15: “Yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee, O house of Israel.” You are not forgotten, and you never will be.
  • John 16:33: “These things I have spoken unto you that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” If anyone understands loneliness, it’s Jesus Christ. He completed His Atonement so that we truly never have to feel alone. His peace and companionship are available to all who seek after Him.
