Go For the Light

Imagine sitting in a room with President Eyring.

And listening to him tell a scripture story.

As a kid, President Henry B. Eyring loved the story of the brother of Jared. You know, the one who was traveling across the ocean in wooden barges? His family needed light in their ships, so he brought stones to the Lord. The Lord touched them so they would glow!

Picture President Eyring sharing this story, and then adding this testimony.

“When I don’t feel the Spirit, when I’m spiritually a little out of tune, I feel a sense of darkness. But when I read the Book of Mormon, the light returns,” he said. “Sometimes it only takes reading one verse for me to feel the light again, but I always feel light when I read it.”

Hope. The Book of Mormon can bring us light during dark times!
