It started with a few people in California, USA, who wanted to make some Days for Girls kits.
Then it became a ward project. Then a stake project. Now it’s grown to more than 11 stakes, and other organizations have gotten involved too!
The result? More than 9,000 Days for Girls kits have been made since 2018. Here’s why the kits are so important.
- The kits include reusable feminine hygiene pads.
- These kits are sent to women and girls who don’t have as much access to these products, such as in many African countries.
- Having these supplies allow the young women of these communities to stay in school more consistently.
And it all started with just a few people and a goal of 500 kits! You don’t have to be part of a large organization or have a huge goal in order to start doing service. All that matters is that you want to help one other person.
