Imagine how the world would be different if everyone did!
At times it might seem like there are lots of rules that we need to follow to be a good member of the Church. But really, at the heart of all of our guidelines, practices, and policies, there are two basic commandments:
- Love God with all your heart, might, mind, and strength.
- Love your neighbor as yourself.
Jesus said these were “the greatest” of all the commandments (Mark 12:28–34). So next time you wonder what the best choice is, think about how it measures up. Does it help you love God and keep His commandments? Is it kind to others? Is it compassionate to yourself?
