Let’s talk trees!

11/24/24 | 1 min read
Here’s a quick conference refresher.

Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf used the symbolism of roots and branches to talk about how we can grow our testimony.

When you nourish the roots of a tree, it has energy to grow its branches larger. In a similar way, when we nourish our faith in Jesus Christ and stay rooted in Him, our testimony will grow stronger!

There are lots of nice things about the Church that we might enjoy—like friendships—that are kinda like branches. When it comes down to it, our friends shouldn’t be why we go to church. But those friendships can grow when we go to church to worship Jesus Christ.
