Merry Christmas! At this time of year we naturally think of the New Testament, where we find Matthew’s and Luke’s accounts of the Savior’s birth. Those familiar passages have a special spirit about them. Many of us have heard them every year for our entire lives, maybe even acted them out in nativity pageants.
The Book of Mormon doesn’t cover the Savior’s mortal life, and He’s only physically present in the story for a few chapters (in 3 Nephi). But the whole book is about Him! The Savior is mentioned on almost every single page—starting with the title page, which declares that the entire point of the Book of Mormon is to convince everyone “that Jesus is the Christ.”
As you celebrate the Savior’s birth, think about how studying the Book of Mormon this year has brought you closer to Him. What are some of your favorite Book of Mormon scriptures about Jesus? What has the Book of Mormon taught you?
