The Lord, through His prophet Moses, commanded the leader of Egypt to let His covenant people go.
Instead, Pharaoh cracked down harder on the Israelites!
So the Lord sent plagues—one after another, each worse than the last—to encourage Pharaoh to change his mind. But Pharaoh just got more and more stubborn.
