One common metaphor for the Church is to call it a “body,” with Christ as the Head and individual members as the parts (see 1 Corinthians 12). Sister Cristina B. Franco uses a different figure of speech in this video, comparing the Church to a watch—the old-fashioned, non-digital kind.
“Every single piece in a watch works in accordance to the other one,” she says. “When one moves, the other wheel moves. They all need to work together and to be in balance. Otherwise you lose time, or you go too fast.”
