Scripture of the Day: “For that which ye do send out shall return unto you again, and be restored; therefore, the word restoreth more fully condemneth the sinner, and justifieth him not at all.” —Alma 41:15
Alma’s point here is that you can’t knowingly sin throughout your mortal life and expect to be “restored” to a clean, celestial life with God after you die. That’s the opposite of what “restored” means.
If don’t desire to live a good life now, what makes you think you will desire to live a good life then? Makes sense.
But the first part of Alma’s statement is also super important in general: “That which ye do send out shall return unto you again.”
Generally, if you are kind and gentle with others, they will perceive you as a kind and gentle person and be kind and gentle with you.
Generally, people with a positive “vibe” are treated in positive ways by others.
Generally, if your attitude is all doom-and-gloom from the moment you wake up till the moment you go to bed, sure enough, you’re going to encounter a lot of doom and gloom throughout the day.
Even when things don’t always follow this pattern, it is still a wonderful and positive way to live!
