Your experiences might not be only for you.

That’s something Alma learned.

Alma the Younger’s visit from an angel was a major turning point in his life. In a way, it was his testimony’s “origin story.”

The Book of Mormon records two times that he told the story to others: Alma 36 and Alma 38. But he probably shared it many times!

Your spiritual experiences may not be as dramatic as Alma’s. (Hopefully you’re not unrighteous enough to need a scolding from an angel!) But they’re still special and valuable. And like Alma’s story, they might help those around you.

The scriptures are basically a collection of the stories of spiritual experiences. Where would we be if Nephi, Moses, Paul, Isaiah, and the rest hadn’t been willing to share what they’d learned?

Keep in mind, some things are too sacred to share. The Spirit will help you know if that’s the case. But in the appropriate moments, we can be ready to share our spiritual experiences to inspire others.

Practice Makes Perfect

Imagine you’ve been asked to give a talk. What recent spiritual experience could you share as part of it?
