Account Error Resolutions

To register yourself for FSY, your Church account username must be linked to your ward. If you were blessed as a baby but have not been baptized, a stake or ward youth leader or FSY representative should follow the instructions below to link your Church account username to your unit:

1. Navigate to the Registration Issues page
2. Find the youth’s name in the chart page
3. Click Link Child of Record Account in the far right column
4. Enter the youth’s Church account username
5. Click Save

Note that this link only lasts for one year, so you will need to follow these steps again if the youth desires to attend FSY in a future year.

If you fit the qualifications below, your parents or guardians may log into the FSY registration system with their credentials and register on your behalf even if your Church account isn’t linked to your unit:

• You were blessed as a baby
• You have been baptized
• Your parent or guardian is a member of the Church
• You are considered a member of your parent’s or guardian’s household, according to Church records

This error most commonly occurs if a member of the bishopric has not approved you to register.

If you get this error and have been approved to register by a member of the bishopric, you likely have more than one Church account, and the account that you are using is not connected to your Membership Record Number (MRN). Please log in with the appropriate Church account. If you do not know which account your MRN is linked to, you can retrieve your username by doing one of the following:

• Log into account.ChurchofJesusChrist.org/childrenAccounts. The children’s usernames will be listed there.
• Have a member of your bishopric navigate to the Youth Approval Tool and find the username listed under your name.
• Note: The URL linked above may be different from the one the bishopric normally uses. It is important they use the URL linked above, or no usernames will display.

If no username is listed next to your name, please refer to the instructions under the MRN Error section on this page.

If you do not know the password to the username that is listed, please refer to the instructions under the Forgotten Username or Password section on this page.

If these steps do not resolve your issue or you would like to merge your accounts to avoid losing data such as notes in Gospel Library, please visit account.ChurchofJesusChrist.org/help for assistance.

If you have forgotten your username or password, and you are unable to recover the information through Account Recovery, and you are still part of your parent’s or guardian’s household, please have your parent or guardian follow the instructions below:

1. Log into account.ChurchofJesusChrist.org/childrenAccounts
2. In the row with your youth’s name, click Change Username or Change Password, as appropriate
3. Enter the new username or password
4. Click Save

If you have forgotten your username or password and your parent or guardian isn’t available to help you, or you are no longer part of your parent’s or guardian’s household, please follow the instructions below:

1. Navigate to account.ChurchofJesusChrist.org/recovery
2. Click Church Membership Information
3. Enter your Membership Record Number (MRN), which can be found in one of the following places:
   • Look on your temple recommend
   • Ask your ward clerk
4. Follow the prompts to recover your username and password

If these steps do not resolve your issue, please visit account.ChurchofJesusChrist.org/help for assistance.

If you do not have a Church account, please follow the instructions below:

1. Navigate to account.ChurchofJesusChrist.org/register
2. Select your location
3. Enter desired username and password
4. Enter your Membership Record Number (MRN), which can be found in one of the following places:
   • Have your parent or guardian log into directory.ChurchofJesusChrist.org and: select their name(s) > select the youth’s name > look under Record Number
   • Have your parent or guardian log into the Member Tools app and select: their profile > the youth’s name > Membership Information > Record Number
     • ​Note: This is only an option if you are still part of your parent’s or guardian’s household
   • ​Look on your temple recommend
   • Ask your ward clerk
5. Enter your birthdate
6. Click Next
7. Enter your contact information, agree to the terms and conditions, and click Next
8. Confirm recovery contact information
