There’s a lot we can learn from Rebekah!

This story about Rebekah actually starts with an assignment to a servant.

You see, Isaac needed a wife. So his father, Abraham, sent his servant to try and find one. Talk about a big responsibility! (Must have been how things were done back then.)

The servant prayed and asked for God’s help. And sure enough, he met Rebekah. She was kind and a hard worker—volunteering to draw water not only for the servant but his camels too! Best of all, she had faith in God.

The servant talked to Rebekah’s parents about their daughter coming back with him to meet Isaac, but they were hesitant. After all, it’s not like they could just call Rebekah on a phone whenever they wanted to talk to her! They asked what she wanted to do.

Even though moving to a new place was probably a scary thought, Rebekah knew God wanted her to take this step. So she said three courageous words: “I will go” (Genesis 24:58).

Sometimes God asks us to do hard things. Like Rebekah, we can trust Him and decide to move forward. He will be with us every step of the way.

“I Will Go”

What’s one way you can show God that you “will go” and do His will this week?
