Want to make the Book of Mormon more personal?

01/23/20 | 1 min read
Here’s an easy idea to try.

As a young man, Elder Joaquin E. Costa of the Seventy didn’t feel the power of the Book of Mormon until an inspired missionary had him read Alma 42 aloud and insert his own name into it: “And now, Joaquin, I perceive there is somewhat more which doth worry your mind.”1 By the end of the chapter, he was asking to be baptized!

Give It a Try!

Try inserting your name into a scripture verse. How would it feel to hear a prophet or the Lord say that directly to you?
