What will your resurrected body be like?

Here are five things we know.

Zombie movies are pretty popular today. You know, where people die but then come back to life as a gross, decomposing, half-dead humanoid?

Well, it’s true that death is not the end of our existence. Knowing that our spirit and body will be reunited someday is one of the most reassuring teachings of the gospel! But the Resurrection will be nothing like a zombie movie.

Scriptures and modern prophets teach us that resurrected bodies are:

  1. Physical. That means we will have flesh and bones.1
  2. Immortal. We will never get sick or die again.2
  3. Perfected. “Deformity will be removed; defects will be eliminated,” President Joseph F. Smith once explained, “and men and women shall attain to the perfection of their spirits, to the perfection that God designed in the beginning.”3
  4. Beautiful. President Lorenzo Snow said, “There is nothing more beautiful to look upon than a resurrected man or woman.”4
  5. Capable of joy. Celestial glory becomes possible once you’re resurrected.5

Isn’t that awesome?! Thanks to the Atonement of Jesus Christ, we have a lot to look forward to.

Blessings of Resurrection

Think about the blessings of the Resurrection. What part are you most looking forward to, and why?
