Family Imperfections

Jesus Christ was descended from people who made mistakes, like Judah and David. He was descended from individuals who faced painful trials that came through no fault of their own, like Bathsheba and Ruth. He was descended from people that Jewish society looked down on, such as those outside their faith and harlots. Next time you feel that your family is inadequate or less than perfect, remember that so was the Lord’s.
