On the cover: This drum was probably used by a Nauvoo Legion Band in Utah during the 1860s. The Nauvoo Legion functioned as a territorial militia in Utah. The beehive symbolizes thrift, industry, and cooperation; the eagle, the American government. “Holiness to the Lord” reminds us that all our actions should be in line with what the Lord has instructed.
