Saturday Morning, 3 October 1981, Welfare Session
Under the direction of Donald Ripplinger, with Roy Darley as organist, the congregation sang three hymns: “Improve the Shining Moments” by Baird (Hymns, no. 73), “Do What is Right” by Kaillmark (Hymns, no. 27), and “How Firm a Foundation” (Hymns, no. 66).
Saturday Morning, 3 October 1981, General Session
The Salt Lake Mormon Tabernacle Choir, directed by Jerold Ottley, with John Longhurst as organist, sang “All Creatures of Our God and King” (Hymns, no. 4), “Father in Heaven” by Flemming/Longhurst (Hymns, no. 34; Hymnal Plus, Sonos), “Now We Sing Thy Praise” by Tschesnokoff (Belwin Mills), “The Lord Is My Shepherd” by Koschat (Hymns, no. 104), “Faith of Our Fathers” by Hemy/Walton (manuscript, not available), “Seek Him That Maketh the Seven Stars” by Rogers (Ditson), “O My Father” by McGranahan (Hymns, no. 138), and “The Lord Bless You and Keep You” by Lutkin (The Choirbook, p. 46, Corporation of the President). The congregation sang “Come, Ye Children of the Lord” (Hymns, no. 23).
Saturday Afternoon, 3 October 1981, General Session
A Primary children’s choir from the Ogden, Cliffview, Mt. Lewis, and Ben Lomond regions, directed by Vanja Y. Watkins, with organist Roy Darley, sang “I Know My Father Lives” by Nibley (Sing with Me B-39), “I Am a Child of God” by Pettit (Sing with Me B-76), “I Think When I Read That Sweet Story” by Lloyd (Sing with Me B-69), “I Feel My Savior’s Love” by Dayley (1982 Children’s Sacrament Meeting Presentation, p. 10), “A Young Man Prepared” by Carter (Merrie Miss B/Blazer B/Sunday School Course 11 manual, 1981), “I Can Follow God’s Plan for Me” by Watkins (Merrie Miss B/Blazer B/Sunday School Course 11 manual, 1981), “I Can Be Valiant” by Watkins (Valiant Course A manual, 1981), “I Love to See the Temple” by Perry (1981 Children’s Sacrament Meeting Presentation, p. 9), “Families Can Be Together Forever” by Watkins (1981 Children’s Sacrament Meeting Presentation, p. 10), and “I Am a Child of God” by Pettit (Sing with Me B-76). The congregation sang “We Thank Thee, O God, for a Prophet” by Norton (Hymns, no. 196).
Saturday Evening, 3 October 1981, Priesthood Session
A combined men’s choir from the Salt Lake Tabernacle Choir and Mormon Youth Chorus, directed by Jerold Ottley and Robert C. Bowden, with organist Roy Darley, sang “See, the Mighty Angel Flying” by Stephens (Hymns, no. 342), “Abide Ye in the Liberty” by Manookin (Sonos), and “O Say What is Truth” by Melling/Lyon (Choral Settings for Six LDS Hymns, Deseret Book). The congregation sang “Redeemer of Israel” by Lewis (Hymns, no. 195).

Sunday Afternoon, 4 October 1981, General Session
The Salt Lake Mormon Tabernacle Choir, directed by Jerold Ottley, with organist John Longhurst, sang “Arise, My Soul, Arise” by Careless (Hymns, no. 227), “I Will Lift Up Mine Eyes” by Sowerby (Boston Music), and “Abide With Me; ’Tis Eventide” by Millard/Manookin (Sonos).
