Saturday Morning, 2 April 1988 General Session

The Mormon Youth Chorus, directed by Robert C. Bowden, with organist Clay Christiansen, sang “Hark, All Ye Nations!” by Root/Monch (Hymns, 1985, no. 264), “O My Father” by McGranahan/Snow (Hymns, 1985, no. 292), “The Morning Breaks” by Careless/Pratt (Hymns, 1985, no. 1), “Jesus, Savior, Pilot Me” by Gould/Hopper (Hymns, 1985, no. 104; arr. Bowden, manuscript), “Lord, Accept Our True Devotion” by Daynes/Alldridge (Hymns, 1985, no. 107), and “Jesus, Lover of My Soul” by Holbrook/Wesley (Hymns, 1985, no. 102; arr. Bowden, manuscript). The congregation sang “Put Your Shoulder to the Wheel” by Thompson (Hymns, 1985, no. 252).

Saturday Afternoon, 2 April 1988 General Session

The Ricks College Centennial Choir, directed by Florence Bowman, with organist Robert Cundick, sang “Sing Praise to Him” by Schutz (Hymns, 1985, no. 70), “A Song of Praise” by Wolford/Gage (Shawnee Press), and “Where Can I Turn for Peace?” by Meredith/Thayne (Hymns, 1985, no. 129; arr. Brown, manuscript). The congregation sang “How Firm a Foundation” by Keen (Hymns, 1985, no. 85).

Saturday Evening, 2 April 1988 Priesthood Session

A men’s choir from the Ogden and Mt. Ogden regions, directed by Jerry F. Simon, with organist Clay Christiansen, sang “The Iron Rod” by Clayson/Townsend (Hymns, 1985, no. 274), “How Great Thou Art” by Hine (Hymns, 1985, no. 86), and “Rise Up, O Men of God” by Asper/Merrill (Hymns, 1985, no. 323). The congregation sang “We Thank Thee, O God, for a Prophet” by Norton/Fowler (Hymns, 1985, no. 19).

Sunday Morning, 3 April 1988 General Session

The Tabernacle Choir, directed by Jerold D. Ottley and Donald Ripplinger, with organist John Longhurst, sang “Come, Rejoice” by Cannon (Hymns, 1985, no. 9), “Come unto Him” by Dougall/Curtis (Hymns, 1985, no. 114), “How Wondrous and Great” by Haydn/Onderdonk (Hymns, 1985, no. 267; arr. Longhurst, Sonos), “Come, We That Love the Lord” by Williams/Watts (Hymns, 1985, no. 119; arr.
