Art Competition Invites Youth to Shine

The Church History Museum invites youth ages 13 to 18 to participate in its first International Art Competition for Youth.

Artists should create works that express what it means to “arise and shine forth” (see D&C 115:4–6).

Artwork must have been created after January 1, 2009. Entrants must be 13 by January 1, 2012, and can submit one work of art online from January 2, 2012, until the deadline—Friday, June 1, 2012. The maximum size is 84 inches (213 cm) in the longest dimension. All artistic media and styles are welcome in the competition.

Winners will be asked to send their original art to the museum to be shown in the exhibit from November 16, 2012, through June 17, 2013.
