Elgin Branch Helping Hands
In summer 2019, members from the Elgin Branch, Aberdeen Stake, helped SPICE (Strategic Partnership for Improving the City of Elgin), a multi-group partnership that cares about the environment both in and around Elgin.
Though the summer day was very warm, members managed to weed flower beds and plant lovely flowers, helping to make Elgin one of the most beautiful cities in the northeast of Scotland.
Ray McLean, a councillor at Moray Council, and his wife, Marie, organised this event; they are both members of SPICE. With the help of Branch President Perry Johnson along with full-time missionaries, Sister Perkins and Sister Hinkley, plus the local communication specialist sister Maureen Dawson and her daughter Annie, they completed the flower beds in record time.
