Jesus Christ, Our Savior

The Book of Mormon features many moving prophecies about the birth of Jesus Christ. What do these prophecies teach you about Christ’s role as your Savior?

Articles

  • Why We Need Jesus Christ.” In this Ensign article, Elder D. Todd Christofferson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles teaches that “to be made whole, and to be made holy, we need a Savior.”

  • The True Light.” In this New Era article, Elder David A. Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles talks about what we learn of Jesus Christ through the prophecies of Samuel the Lamanite.

  • Samuel and the Star.” This illustrated poem tells the story of Samuel teaching about Jesus Christ’s birth.

Activities

  • Food and Fun.” Focus on Jesus Christ this month by trying these craft ideas to make different Nativity scenes. (From the Friend.)

  • Funstuff: Light the World.” Do this activity from the Friend to help you remember that Jesus brought life and love to the whole world.

Jesus Christ, Our Redeemer

Jesus Christ became our Redeemer through His atoning sacrifice. Many Book of Mormon prophets shared their testimonies of Christ’s role as our Redeemer.
