Here is one little girl

And her doll that is new.

Along comes her friend;

Now there are two.

These two little girls

Play dolls by the tree.

Mary Ann comes by,

And now there are three.

Three little girls

Wash clothes their dolls wore.

Along comes Beth Jane;

Now there are four.

Four happy girls

Pretend their dolls are alive.

Joe Ann comes to play,

And now there are five.

Five smiling girls

Sing and have fun.

Their dads call them home;

Now there are none.
