Thanksgiving

Good smells drifting through the air,

Smiles on faces everywhere,

Silver gleaming, table laid,

Turkey waiting, salads made,

Young eyes shining, grown-ups’ too,

Talk of old times and the new,

Gladness to be here again,

Hope and peace wished to all men,

Prayers, songs, and joy of living—

All are part of Thanksgiving!
