On Top of the World
Earth spins around on its axis
That dips a bit toward the sun.
In Sweden the north pole’s tilted
At midsummer time. What fun!
I wish I could be in Sweden
When the midnight sun shines bright,
It stays in the sky hour by hour,
And there isn’t any dark night.
But when the earth’s axis tilts
In winter the other way,
All the nights then are six months long.
What do they do without day?
