Wonderful World of Books

November 11–17 is National Book Week in the United States with the theme “Books for all Reasons.” It is a time to salute writers, publishers, bookstores, and libraries everywhere who make books available to us.

Good books can make us think or laugh or cry, and they have power to make us better and happier. From some we learn truth; others thrill or entertain with their adventure or fantasy. And there are still other books that can take us out of our own time and place to explore unknown worlds of the past and the future.

Make it a habit to tuck a book under your arm to read whenever you can.
