“Sliding Time,” Friend, Feb. 1978, inside back cover
Sliding Time
Wintertime is sliding time!
On ice and snow we go,
Skimming on the frozen stuff,
Zipping high and low.
Over hummocks, bouncing free,
Scooting down the hills,
Laughing at the winter cold,
Scampering up from spills.
Oh, it’s fun to skate or go
Skimming on a sleigh
When winter spreads a wonderland
Where children love to play.
