Sharing Time:
Blessings Follow Obedience
Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. (Eph. 6:1)
Instructions: Color and cut out each figure with its accompanying story. Fold on dotted line and glue drinking straw between papers 1″ from bottom. Cut out a piece of paper the same shape as puppets, and draw another picture of a man you know who has been blessed because of his obedience (father, relative, or leader). Visit this person and tell him the experiences of the other figures, using your egg carton stage. (See May 1982 Friend inside back cover for stage instructions.) Ask him to tell you about some of his experiences and write one of them on the back of his picture. Then glue to straw. Figures could also be used during family home evening or as Father’s Day table decorations by standing them in a gumdrop. (See May 1982 Friend inside back cover for additional Sharing Time Ideas.)
