Sunshine Time

Summertime is sunshine time—

Castles in the sand;

Splashing waves and sunny days,

Swimming, getting tanned;

Gath’ring rocks down by the shore,

Rounded by the sea,

Shells of diff’rent colors make

Fun for you and me.

Clouds of cotton candy go

Drifting in the sky;

Seagulls in their winged attire

Swiftly glide right by.

Popsicles and ice-cream cones,

Hot corn on the cob,

Balmy days and summer plays

Call us from our jobs.

Keen rides on the ferry boat

Carry us to sea—

All these things mean summertime,

Sunshine time to me.
